Gaia 5.0 — A Holographic Image - Ambience

Planet Earth herself will be modelled as a digital 3D animated opera — the complex living system represented as multi-dimensional dynamic holographic model named GAIA 5.0: A Holographic Image -‐ Ambience.
The hologram installation provides an aesthetic experience of the beauty of the planet thwarted with an immersive crisis scenario due to what is called climate change: Gaia 5.0 visualises the circulations of the atmosphere and ocean and their interaction in a coupled atmosphere-ocean dynamics model by using the Copernicus data of aerosol dynamics observations in the atmosphere, combined with ocean data sets of the very severe cyclonic storms (Luban and Titli) over the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal in October 2018. This holographic 4D visualisation shall help to understand the earth's reaction to pollution — with a zoom into atmospheric micro-processes to the formation of aerosol on its minutest level — and her attempt at cooling the bottom of the atmosphere and the ocean with cyclones and storms: Earth in a state of emergency.
